AB United Way - Day of Caring 2017

The Acton-Boxborough United Way held it’s annual Day of Caring on October 12th, 2017. Individuals from organizations large and small spend the day sprucing up non-profit agencies, reading to a disabled child or sorting and packing food or furniture donations. We followed event organizer Dan Klein as he visited some of the organizations involved in this fantastic community event.

    Dan,  Rachel and ABUW members,

Can not thank you enough for the support ABUW has given us throughout the years. In 2012 your generosity helped our non-profit realize our mission to help alleviate hunger and social isolation in our community.

This is our 5th year of welcoming the students from Youth in Philanthropy to Mt. Calvary Community Supper of Acton during your Day of Caring. The students have always rolled up their sleeves and worked so hard to organize and polish our pantry, refrigerator, huge commercial stove, and all the cupboards. We always sparkle at the end of the time. It is such a pleasure to chat with the students and witness their dedication to community service.

From all Supper Volunteers , congratulations and continued success with the Day of Caring.

    Pam Farrill
