ActonTV is a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit Organization whose mission is to create community through media by providing the technology, facilities and expertise to encourage free speech and inspire creative expression. We rely on funding provided by Acton residents through a franchise fee on their cable TV subscriptions. As technology has improved and more streaming options have become available, it has caused a mass cancellation of cable TV subscriptions. The cancellation of these subscriptions affects us greatly as it severely reduces the amount of funding we receive. Due to this unfortunate side effect of cable cancellations, ActonTV is looking to the community to help support us in this difficult time by becoming a Donor or Sponsor.
The staff and members of ActonTV work hard to bring the community important local content that you cannot find anywhere else. Whether it is the coverage of town meetings such as the board of selectmen and school committee, sports coverage, cultural impact programming or current event shows; we work hard to keep residents up to date on local issues that you cannot find on other news networks or streaming channels.
Something unique that ActonTV offers is the use of our 4800 square foot TV studio to create original content. With 3 different sets including a stage/performance set, kitchen set and virtual green screen set, we can offer you a place to create professional quality videos. We also have a wide variety of AV equipment including cameras, lights, microphones and more that can be checked out and used wherever your creativity takes you.
ActonTV operates 3 TV channels for the transmission of content as well as a YouTube channel for sharing online videos. With over 3,000 subscribers, it is a great way to share content with a larger viewership base. We also have a trained staff to help you create your content and make it of the highest quality possible. With our exceptional facilities, top of the line equipment, talented staff and multiple methods of transmission, we feel we have something special in Acton that no one else can offer.
