Description : from Home Garden/Pots to table with Ruma Neogy (1) (2020) Yard long beans and potato , bottle gourd greens/poppyseed/sautéed/sweet , and pumpkin flowers Sautéed Yard Long Beans lobia ki phali 2 cups beans cut into one inch long pieces 2 cups potatoes cut into similar size 2 Tblsp mustard oil 2 red chilli 1 tsp turmeric 1 tsp salt 1 tsp chili powder How to make Poppyseed paste - (Posto) 1 cup white poppyseeds 2 green chillies Water just enough to make a thick paste Soak overnight1 cup poppyseeds in water Next day blend to make a paste adding few green chillies into it to blend with Sautéed Lauki/bottle gourd leaves in poppyseed paste 2 cups chopped leaves approx 3 full leaves 1 Tblsp mustard oil 2 green chili 1/2 tsp back onion seeds 1/4 cup poppyseed paste 1/4 cup water 1/2 tsp salt Lauki (Bottle Gourd) sweet/kheer/payesam Boil 2 cups full fat milk and reduce it to 1 cup with 2 pods cardamom Add 1 cup grated lauki in hot boiled water and keet it covered for 10 minutes. after 10 minutes squeeze out softened lauki using a stariner to take out all the soaked water in the lauki In a pan put 1 Tblsp ghee add cinnamon stick, 3 pods cardamom, 1 bay leaf in hot ghee add softened lauki. Stir fry for two minutes in the ghee and then transfer it to the reduced milk. Once the milk boils add 1 cup sugar. Simmer for some time in warm heat till it thickens. Doodh lauki/boutle gourd with milk 1.5cups chopped lauki 1 Tblsp mustard oil 2 green chilli 1/4 tsp black onion seed 1/2 tsp ground cumin Salt to taste 1/3 rd cup milk 1/2 tsp corn starch 1/2 tsp sugar Sautéed Pumpkin flowers in poppyseed paste 20 flowers 2 green chillies 1/2 tsp Kalonji seeds 1/4 cup poppyseed paste 1/4 cup water Pinch turmeric 1/4 tsp salt www.actontv.org
