HypoAfrica Clinical Trials Network - Dr. Solomon Kibudde - Uganda Cancer Institute

Description

The HypoAfrica clinical trial network resulted from collaboration between Global Health Catalyst and BIO Ventures for Global Health (BVGH) and involves cancer centers in Tanzania, Nigeria, and South Africa. The GHC is currently collaborating on hypofractionation for prostate cancer with goal to increase access to treatment in Uganda and across Africa. During her visit to the Uganda Cancer Institute, Vivian Kobusingye Birchall, producer and host of the Health Care Blind Spots series had the opportunity to speak to Dr. Solomon Kibudde about his thoughts on the Clinical Trials Network. This was part of a more comprehensive conversation with the Director of the Institute and some of the Key Oncologists about Cancer treatment in Uganda and possible areas for collaboration with the Global Health Catalyst.
