The Acton Microburst - Onset of Chaos - Episode 1

Description

Acton was hit by a microburst the afternoon of September 8th, 2023. All the town’s resources Police, Fire, DPW were deployed in response to the storm. This series describes the microburst which closed Main Street, caused 6000 power outages, hit 14 homes with trees and caused flash flooding and the Acton’s emergency response and cleanup in the aftermath of the storm. Episode 1 The Onset of Chaos includes interviews with: Dean Charter, Acton Select Board, Sergeant Keith Campbell, Acton Police Department Brendan Gray, Dispatch Supervisor Jason Kidder, Assistant Superintendent, Acton Highway Department Ryan Hunt, Acton Tree Warden and describes the experience of first responders during the storm and in the first few hours dealing with its aftermath.
