Vivian Kobusingye Birchall

Production & Outreach Coordinator

Vivian produces shows on local and global issues, coordinates productions by Acton TV members, and works with the Town of Acton to increase public access to information about town projects.

When she moved to Massachusetts from Hawaii, many people asked her questions about Africa, which inspired her to become a storyteller, teaching about the continent through television and other formats.  In time, her stories expanded from African culture to diaspora, US-Africa relations, global health and most recently national and local issues in the US.

Having worked in Uganda’s national government and Acton’s municipal government, she brings a unique perspective on local, national and global themes and issues.  She holds postgraduate certificates in Media and Medicine (Harvard Medical School) and Governance (University of Pretoria, South Africa), and a Bachelor of Development Studies (Makerere University, Uganda).

Vivian is a STEM, public policy, diplomacy and community-relations fangirl, and likes to binge-watch political dramas and Bond movies.
